How To Fix A Leaking Fridge

How to Fix a Leaking Fridge?

Did you know that your refrigerator actually defrosts itself daily? In fact, your fridge thaws itself about 3 times a day. That means, that a lot of water has got to go somewhere. Usually during the defrost process, the water is collected in a drain pan where it will evaporate. However, if this isn't the case, it could be for these reasons:

  • It is possible that the drain is blocked. If the water can't flow into the drain, it will find another way. In most cases, this creates leakages. So make sure to check the drain in your fridge regularly, keeping it clear and clean from any debris.

  • A worse problem is that your drain is cracked. If this is the case, then you will need to replace it to prevent any further leakages.

The leakages could also be caused by a damaged sump pipe. If this is the case, then again this will need replacing to prevent further leakages.
